Hello
My name is Jason Knapp. I am a freelance interpreter and translator based in the Louisville, KY metro area. I specialize in legal/business, medical, and technical subject matter. Clients include private attorneys and law firms, state and federal agencies, and medical research institutions. I have interpreted in-person and remotely (RSI) for conferences in the insurance/reinsurance, commercial real estate development, automotive, petrochemical, labor relations, and economic development sectors. I am eager to put my skills and experience to work for you to help you connect with employees, clients, or business partners.
My Story
For me, the journey began in the mid-90s when my love for travel and an interest in languages led me to study Spanish after spending a month traveling the Ecuadorian countryside. After that, I was hooked! After nearly 25 years as a volunteer minister and public speaker, and having lived or worked in 6 Spanish-speaking countries and territories and 4 U.S. states, I have developed a deep understanding of the diverse cultures of native Spanish speakers.
Since starting to work professionally as an interpreter and translator, in 2015, I have built a reputation over the past for providing quality, transparency and superior service. My subject matter expertise in the legal, medical, and construction/manufacturing domains is field-tested and approved by clients in the public and private sector.
